A motion was put by Councillor Vithoulkas on 25 March 2013 and 29 July 2013 requiring the Lord Mayor to declare that she is using the casting vote when voting on motions.

The motion was put due the Lord Mayor continually declaring motions lost when the vote was tied without saying that she was exercising her right to use the casting vote.

Incredibly, the Lord Mayor used the casting vote on both occasions in order for her not to have to declare that she was using the casting vote.
